"Reflection is one of the most underused yet powerful tools for success."
- Richard Carlson.

Success is a subjective and multifaceted concept that is defined differently by every individual. The success and growth of any business is the key goal for any entrepreneur or business owner. When you start a business, you have nothing more than what you may want your business to look like. You really aren't quite sure what to expect or how to get there, you just know what you would love to see.

As we approach the 5-year anniversary of BlackHawk Data, it was time to do just that. Remember where we started and where we are today. Remember all the people that helped get us where we are since it takes a village. Be thankful for our success and the fact we were able to achieve the aspirations we set out to attain what feels like a lifetime ago.

While it took a lot of hard work, perseverance, and the willingness to take risks, we got here. We got to a place that you aren't always sure you could. You got to a spot where it works, where the company has seen growth and has a bright future.

How do I personally measure success? I look around at the staff we have and the tireless efforts they put in each and every day. I look at our clients who had choices but chose us. I look at our vendor partnerships and am very grateful for every one of them. I am honored for Jason Caparoso for allowing me to be a part of his life, for picking me to take this journey. While I am always a work in progress, I am proud of everyone I know and how they care so much for our success and how much pride they take in the role they played.

As we move forward to the next chapter, I am very excited about what lies ahead. Together we can continue to create positive change and make a difference. Here's to many more good years ahead!
