Maryann Pagano, founder and CEO of BlackHawk Data, wins the SBA award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

It’s no secret that Maryann Pagano, CEO of BlackHawk Data, has worked tirelessly to make the IT world an inclusive space. Her most recent accomplishment of winning Female Entrepreneur of the Year from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is just one example of what her dedication has achieved.

The SBA makes the American dream of business ownership a reality. As the only go-to resource and voice for small businesses backed by the strength of the federal government, the SBA empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners with the resources and support they need to start, grow or expand their businesses, or recover from a declared disaster. It delivers services through an extensive network of SBA field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations.

With the help of the SBA in the beginning of her journey through forming BlackHawk Data, Maryann transformed from a woman with potential she couldn’t fully see to a CEO and founder of a successful and inclusive IT company that empowers its employees.

Maryann met with the SBA to discuss uncertainty around her decisions. One meeting at a time, Maryann grew in confidence, and would eventually take the first steps to start BlackHawk Data.
BlackHawk Data is proud to be a certified woman-owned IT business, and we wouldn’t be where we are without the help of the SBA.
