What inspired you to pursue a career in IT?

I love how technology is constantly changing. You never know what is coming next. This inspires me to never stop learning and look forward to the unknown!

What is the most challenging part about being a woman in IT?

The most challenging part for me is learning when to stop working. I love what I do and tend to not keep track of time. So giving myself breaks throughout the day and learning when to stop is what’s most challenging for me.

What is the most rewarding part about being a woman in a leadership role?

Feeling like your voice is being heard. When you see your suggestions or changes that were put in place and they make a difference. It gives you a sense of pride like, “I did that, I was able to contribute and make a difference!”

Why is diversity in business important to you?

It’s important to me because I believe everyone should be given the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

What advice would you give an aspiring female IT leader?

Never give yourself an excuse as to why you can’t pursue your dream. The easy way out is to tell yourself no, you can’t do it and you won’t succeed. But pushing through the difficulties and reaching your goal is the most rewarding feeling you will ever have.

Want to tell us anything else?

When I am not working, I enjoy working out, spending time with my family and friends, and taking advantage of the local restaurants and Museums Philly has to offer. I am also a huge Philly sports fan and can’t wait for the fall! Go Phillies, Go Birds, and Go Flyers!
